Banquet Staff
POSITION TITLE: BANQUET STAFF
REPORTS TO: BANQUET MANAGER
WAGE: $15/hour + tips
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Banquet Staff must be knowledgeable of event menu items, their contents, appropriate table settings and service ware, and the correct preparation and garnishing methods. They are also responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down banquet rooms.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Serving of food and beverage to guests in a professional manner.
Clean out rooms at end of function and re-set rooms for next function.
Ensure all Banquet rooms and storage areas are clean at all times and kept in proper condition according to company standards.
Take empty beer bottles to receiving area at end of night.
Keep portable Bars clean at all times.
Help take trolleys full of dirty dishes to kitchen area.
Always work in a quiet, orderly fashion so as not to disturb meetings that are in progress.
Ensure Banquet checklist is completed on a daily basis.
Perform any other duties as required by management to ensure customer service.
The above areas of responsibility are not all-inclusive and may be amended from time to time.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Knowledge of proper table set up and display
Food knowledge of dishes being brought out (in regard to allergies)
Ability to carry out more than one tray into the banquet hall
Stay on top of general cleaning/ up-keep of the tables
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be Smart Serve certified
Must be flexible to work any shift
Must be able to lift heavy objects
Must be polite, courteous, and respectful
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work as a team or independently
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests
